In our 21 month-long Community Ars Therapy project we combined two effects of Retextil: who does it is in therapy - processes and re-arranges both in actions and in mind. Besides that, the created product functions as a therapeutic device or tool. All the created tools can be completely personalized and fitted to the child’s needs. In this project we created an open playground for children made out of retextil in a local cafe called Szabadkikötő. For the playground's raw material we asked the community of the city to join us in the cutting part of the creation. This way all the local people were able to join the shaping of the space through upcycling old clothes.
